Installation
New appliance? We will fit it.
Washing machines, dishwashers, dryers, electric ovens and hobs, cooker hoods and fridge freezers — connected to the supply you already have, levelled, and tested before we leave. Priced before we start.
What we fit
The same seven appliances we repair
Which means the engineer fitting it knows what goes wrong with it, and fits it so that it does not.
Washing machines
Transit bolts out, connected to the existing water supply and waste, levelled, and run through a test cycle.
Dishwashers
Freestanding or integrated into an existing housing, connected to the water and waste, levelled, and run through a test cycle.
Tumble dryers
Vented or condenser — a vented dryer connected to an existing vent, a condenser or heat-pump dryer set up to drain or collect.
Cookers & ovens
Electric built-in ovens and freestanding cookers, connected to the existing cooker supply and tested through a heat cycle.
Electric hobs
Ceramic or induction, fitted into an existing worktop cut-out and connected to the existing supply.
Cooker hoods
Chimney, integrated or canopy hoods, fitted and connected, and ducted out through an existing route.
Fridges & freezers
Freestanding or integrated, positioned, levelled and left to settle before it is switched on.
Every installation
Fitted, then proven to work
An appliance that is connected but not tested is an appliance that leaks the first night. Every one is run before we go.
- 01
Unpacked and positioned
Out of the box, into the space, and the packaging flattened for you.
- 02
Connected
To the water, the waste and the electrical supply that are already there.
- 03
Levelled
A machine that is not level walks across the floor on a spin and wears its bearings early.
- 04
Tested
Run through a cycle, or up to temperature, with the connections checked for leaks while it does.
- 05
Shown how it works
The settings you will actually use, and where the filter is — the thing most often behind a repair call later.
Worth knowing before you book
- New plumbing — a water supply or waste pipe where there is not one. That is a plumber’s job.
- A new electrical circuit or cooker switch, which is a qualified electrician’s job. We connect to an existing supply.
- Cutting a new worktop hole for a hob, or altering kitchen units. A new cut-out is a kitchen fitter’s job; we fit into one that is already there.
- Gas appliances. We install and repair electric appliances only.
What it costs
Priced before we start
An installation depends on the appliance and on what the space needs, so it is priced when you book rather than from a list. A photo of the space and of the connections behind it lets us give you a firm figure on the phone — and nothing is done without your say-so.
Questions
Asked before an installation
- Can you fit an appliance I bought online?
- Yes — that is most of what we fit. Tell us the make and model when you book, so we know what connections it needs before we arrive.
- Do you take the old one away?
- Ask when you book and we will tell you what we can do for yours. It depends on the appliance and where it is going.
- What does it cost?
- It depends on the appliance and on what the space needs, so we price it when you book — before anything is done. A photo of the space and the connections behind it lets us give you a firm figure on the phone.
- Can you install a gas cooker or gas hob?
- No. We install and repair electric appliances only. A gas appliance needs an engineer registered for gas work.
- My new dishwasher is integrated. Can you fit the door panel?
- Yes, into an existing housing. Send us the model number and a photo of the space when you book, so we can check it is the right size before the visit.
